2011-12 NBA Preview

Dec 29, 2011

Many NBA fans lost interest in the NBA this year after the lockout was announced, but just because this year has a 66-game season instead of the normal 82-game season doesn't mean you shouldn't give it another chance if you love basketball. Kidzworld has evaluated the 2011-12 NBA season and here is the preview:

Playoff Prediction

Well obviously the Miami Heat are the big favorites to win the championship again even though the Dallas Mavericks added Vince Carter and Lamar Odom to their lineup. The Heat have added Shane Battier to their all star lineup. So with the shortened schedule maybe all these all stars won’t get tired and we will have another Dallas-Miami championship showdown.

We have all forgotten about the New York Knicks since last year was the first time they made the playoffs in eight years, but now that Carmelo Anthony has had his chance to warm up in the Big Apple, they should be a decent contender.

A New Star in LA LA Land

As Kobe Bryant gets older he will probably lose a step or two in the next year, but don’t worry LA basketball fans… Chris Paul is the newest member of the LA Clippers to satisfy all your needs for entertainment. With Chris and Blake Griffin playing together, there’s bound to be a dozen highlight reel dunks every game.

Canadian Clues

The Toronto Raptors look like the bottom of the barrel since they lost Chris Bosh to the Heat, but there is rumors that they are looking at teen sensation Justin Bieber to bring life back to their game. Justin was the MVP of the Celebrity All-Star game.
