Back to School Fall Fashion for Girls

Apr 21, 2016

Back-to-school shopping has never been more fun than it is this year! There are trends, anti-trends, vintage inspirations and unique ways to personalize your style so no matter what look you rock, you'll still look like YOU! We pulled together 3 of our favorite looks for fall. Check out what we found, then let us know what you think in the comments below.

The Boyfriend Look

Boyfriend jeans are the anti-skinny jean. Casual, slouchy and comfortable, these jeans are named boyfriend jeans because they fit like you borrowed them from your boyfriend! Top your look with a beanie cap (that also looks like you borrowed it from your favorite dude, even if you knitted it yourself or got it at Urban Outfitters -- we won't tell!), and cover your toes in a colorful pair of Keds or Chuck Taylor Converse High Tops to complete the oh-so-casual "I look great in anything" look. For that feminine touch, add a form-itting tank top, an unbuttoned tapered flowered blouse, and a tailored women's short blazer.

Skinny Jeans

In fall, we love to layer. The day may start out cool, warm up midday and call for a sweater in the chill of early evening. The perfect time to pair your favorite tee with colorful skinny jeans and top it with a gigantic pullover or hoodie -- preferably one with thumb-holes! Top those skinny form-hugging bottoms in bright colors and bold patterns with oversized button down tops, knit sweaters, chunky knits, and faux fur collars.

Girly Girl

When we think of fall, we think "play all day, get cozy at night", and that means layering chunky, soft knits over moveable, breathable clothes. That is why we're thrilled jeggings are back again this year! Comfy like leggings but stylish and wear-anywhere like jeans, this year's picks are updated in candy-bright colors, dots and stripes, florals and other fun prints. If you're not a jeggings enthusiast, cute, soft, flouncy skirts with floral prints and ruffles are back, too! In shirts, we're also looking at floral prints that you can (carefully) mix and match with floral bottoms, puffy shirts, ruffles, lace embellishments, and blazers with feminine hourglass shaping to show your curves. To cover those toes, sport a pair of colorful ballet flats!
