This week on Pretty Little Liars (Season 3, Episode 10) The liars uncover more about what happened to Maya the night she died in “What Lies Beneath” which aired August 14, 2012 to discover what you missed!
Lost Letter
While moving some plants on the porch with her mother Hanna comes across a long-lost note for Emily from Maya and after examining it the liars realize it’s from the night that she died. It asks Emily to meet her at a location that is blurred out. Distracted by not being able to openly be with Caleb Hanna sets about blowing up photos from Maya’s video and realizes some were taken in daylight at Noel Kahn’s cabin. Noel and Jenna are openly together, and it seems as if they’re plotting.
Kahn Cabin
Noel isn’t quick to share any info, even when pressured by Spencer so she ducks into the boy’s locker room and digs through his stuff, only to have him catch her as she leaves. Meanwhile Hanna and Emily take a trip to the cabin to see if Maya left anything for Emily, and while they’re there they discover a secret room that Maya had been living in when she had supposedly left town since she left a bag with some of her things, and Alison’s, behind – but they aren’t alone, someone locks the windows and door. Emily smashes a window to free them and Hanna tries to the locked shutters open with a blade but ends up slashing her leg by accident, and when they leave A has scrawled a scary message across the cabin
Camera Shy
Noel sends Spencer a video of the night Maya died outside his cabin that proves that neither he or Jenna could have done it since Maya comes into view after they have gone into the cabin, and the time shows that Garrett couldn’t have either. At the end of the video Maya is grabbed or hit by an assailant out of the shot.
Rocky Romance
The only person truly lucky in love this episode is Aria’s mom Ella, who discovers that the Zach, the younger guy from the coffee shop, only has eyes for her. After Emily helps her hobble home from the cabin she calls Wren to come and fix Hanna up since she refuses to go to hospital. Wren clearly has feelings for Hanna since they kissed, but she is secretly still with Caleb. Nate blows up at Jenna at The Brew for blowing him off, but then in a heart-to-heart with Emily tells him that Maya’s death affected him more than he knew and they end up kissing, just in time for Paige to see. Aria and Ezra are distant through the episode until he reveals at the very end that he had found Maggie. As the episode ends we see ‘A’ hanging up all their black hoodies.
