Zombie Costume Tips

Oct 03, 2018

Every year for Halloween, you love dressing up in the same costume: princess, Batman, tinker bell, pirate… etc. This year you still want to dress up as your favorite character, but you want to spice it up a little bit. How about zombie it up a little bit!? !? Here are some tips to make your traditional Halloween costume, a little scarier with some zombie accessories:

Bruised Lips

A good zombie look is bruised lips. You can do this easily with dark colored lipstick. Apply the lipstick liberally and then blot it with a tissue.

Pale Zombie

A zombie has lost all of his or her own blood making them extremely pale. You can use foundation or other face make-up that is lighter than your skin to create this effect.

Splotches

You can make your face splotchy after putting on a foundation. Just apply eye shadow lightly to various places on your face.

Messy Hair

Zombies tend to have messy hair… probably because of their lack of sleep. Use some hair products, then bend, twist and flip your hair in some different directions.

Funny Fingernails

To make your zombie look really believable, having pale green fingernails is very common for zombies to grow. The longer the better.

Red Eyes

Most zombies have red eyes. You can purchase colored contacts from many department stores. If this isn't an option, you can use red face paint to paint around your eyes to simulate the effect.

Blood

Of course, blood is what zombies want, need and eat. And they have lost all table manners so their faces are usually covered with blood, like a kid’s face is covered with chocolate.
