The Carrie Diaries: Season 1, Episode 7 :: Caught

Feb 26, 2013

This week on The Carrie Diaries (Season 1, Episode 7), Carrie brings George to her school dance to make Sebastian jealous. Read Kidzworld’s recap of “Caught,” which aired on February 25th, 2013, to discover what you missed.

The Winter Dance

With the winter dance in full swing, Carrie takes the opportunity to make Sebastian jealous by inviting George. On one hand, it's a success. Sebastian is definitely jealous, and Donna is not happy about it. On the other hand, George misreads Carrie's signals, and thinks she wants to have sex. When she tells George that she's a virgin, he doesn't care. He still tries to have his way with her, so she breaks up with him.

Blackmail

Meanwhile, Maggie goes to the school dance alone since Walt has the chicken pox. While there, the cop she hooked up with invites her into his squad car for a little rendezvous. Donna sees her getting out and blackmails her: if Maggie doesn't keep Carrie away from Sebastian, Donna will tell everyone that she cheated on Walt. So Maggie tells Carrie what she did and Carrie advises her to tell Walt the truth. Better that he hear it from Maggie than from Donna.

The Nutcracker

When two tickets to The Nutcracker arrive in the mail, Carrie's father isn't sure what to do. Carrie's mother ordered the tickets for her and Dorrit before she passed away. Carrie suggests that he take Dorrit instead. Unfortunately, he falls asleep during the play and Dorrit gets upset.

The Job Offer

When Carrie suggests a good caption to go along with the picture of her purse in Interview Magazine, Larissa offers her an internship. Carrie's caught between a rock and a hard place. She's already committed to her internship at the law firm, and because her dad went out of his way to secure it, she doesn't want to disappoint him. But how can she pass up the opportunity to work at Interview Magazine? Being a writer is her dream after all. Ultimately, Carrie decides to accept the offer and follow her dreams.
