E. Lamb

Spencer's stay at Radley dominates this episode. After the park patrol found her in the woods, they brought her to Radley where she must stay for a mandatory 72 hour observation. There she meets one of the institution's employees named E. Lamb - the same name that Toby had on his badge. Spencer inquires about Radley's security and E. Lamb (the "E" being short for Eddie) admits that they've had problems in the past with people sneaking in and out. He also reveals that he knew a Toby, possibly her Toby, and that Spencer's current room used to be Mona's during her stay in Radley.

The Journals

Spencer finds church song lyrics scratched into her room's writing desk: "Will the circle be unbroken?" These words lead to a flashback of a day at church, when Ali was writing in her journal and Mona was being her old nerdy self. Later, Mona arrives at Radley and tells Spencer that she has Ali's journals and that Ali was never actually pregnant. Spencer begins to seriously question her own sanity and believes that her friends shouldn't trust her anymore.

Relocation

Meanwhile, Detective Wilden has resurfaced, so Hanna's mom doesn't want to go to New York. She feels that right now is not the best time to relocate, which is what they'd have to do if she gets her promotion. But Hanna convinces her to go anyway, agreeing to stay at Emily's house while she's gone.

Teacher's Pet

Aria knows that Ezra needs money and that he wants to teach again, so she asks her father if he can get Ezra a job at the high school again. He tries, but there are no positions available. However, he agrees to help Ezra in any way he can. While confronting Mona in the girls washroom, Aria is called to the principal's office, where he asks her if she still sees Ezra socially. She lies so that Ezra can have the possibility of substituting at her school.
