Puzzle lovers on the go have a new app to enjoy in The Room! See our game review for all the details!

There has not been many dedicated puzzle games for the iPhone or iPad. 100 floors was ok, but lacked decent graphics and some parts were difficult to the extent of being unfair. The Room answers the need for a puzzle game with not only amazing graphics, but also great story and music to go along with it!

What's in the Box?

In The Room, you discover a box left behind by a scientist. The scientist has recently died after making an important discovery. The secret contained inside the box is protected by difficult puzzles designed to keep the unworthy away. Players familiar with games such as Myst or Crimson Room will be at home with the controls and game mechanics. Rotate and zoom into the puzzle object to look for clues and use any objects you acquire throughout the game.

Free to Try

The Room is only available for iPhones 4s or 5 and the iPad. However, you can try out the first puzzle in the game for free in The Room Pocket. Solving and opening the first box will reveal another box and the game is essentially more of the same. If you do not particularly enjoy puzzles, it can be boring to play for long periods of time. Even the eerie music can become dull after listening to it for a long time. However, if you are a puzzle lover and enjoy spending lots of time studying objects carefully, you will definitely like this game. Even if you are just a bit curious after playing the free version of the game, The Room is definitely worth the two dollar price tag. Just be sure to take a break now and then!
