MTV Movie Awards Recap

Apr 17, 2013

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards celebrates its 100th anniversary with comedic host Rebel Wilson from Pitch Perfect. Kidzworld has the recap!

Host Rebel Wilson

This year’s MTV Movie Awards began with a short video featuring James Franco arriving in “Australia” to summon Rebel Wilson to the awards. Instead of travelling by plane, he offers a better means of transport: a female Iron Man suit!

As the live show opened, Rebel performed four songs alongside the cast of Pitch Perfect: "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus, "Lose Yourself" by Eminem, "This Girl Is On Fire" by Alicia Keys, and "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore. The awards had many great moments, including Rebel’s montage of what her roles in films such as Magic Mike and Les Miserables could have been, and Emma Watson’s touching acceptance speech for her Trailblazer Award.
