This Week In News: Star Wars, a New Toy Story and More

This week has been huge for movies! We got the official title for Star Wars: Episode VII, a new trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and an announcement about Toy Story 4! We even got some new footage from The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man! Check out what you missed this week in entertainment news!

1. Star Wars: Episode VII Gets an Official Title

Fans have been waiting for this since the first announcement of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. This week Lucasfilm released the title, Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the film’s official Facebook page. People seem to be split down the middle about this. What do you think?

2. Lorde Releases “Yellow Flicker Beat” Video from Mockingjay Part 1

Lorde’s 18th birthday was this week and to celebrate, she released the video for her new song “Yellow Flicker Beat.” This song will be part of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, so fans have gone crazy over it. It’s already got 5.3 million views on YouTube! Are you guys going to see the film?

3. Fans Really Want This Actress to Play Captain Marvel

Last week Marvel announced a ton of films, including Captain Marvel. Everyone has been speculating about who will play the role, but some fans are more fanatic than others. Fans of Vikings star Katheryn Winnick made some fan art and Winnick posted it on her Instagram. She certainly looks the part and she knows how to fight!

4. Toy Story 4 Announced

Yesterday Disney fans got some amazing news! During a call with investors, Disney announced Toy Story 4. Even better? Pixar’s John Lasseter will direct and Parks and Recreation’s Rashida Jones and her writing partner Will McCormack will be writing the script. That’s all we know right now, but we’ll keep you updated!

5. Top 10 Catchiest Songs, According to Science

Dutch researchers played a game called Hooked on Music with 12,000 people, and discovered the catchiest songs out there. According to their results, "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls is the winner. The top 10 list is below, including the average time it took people to recognize the song. Sorry we put these all in your head!

6. New Ant-Man and Avengers Footage: Is that the Vision?

This week during a Marvel TV special, some new footage from Ant-Man was shown. We see both Ant-Mans (Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas) and we get a glimpse of the suit. In addition, there is some new footage from The Avengers: Age of Ultron in there, and it looks like The Vision is standing behind Scarlet Witch! Give it a watch and see if you think so!
