Wild Grinders, Adventures of Captain Grindstar, contains episodes from the hit series, which features the voice of professional skateboarder and entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek (Fantasy Factory, Ridiculousness). The popular series, airing Wednesdays during Nicktoons’ NickSports TV block, follows the comedic adventures of Lil Rob, Meaty and Lil Rob’s middle school skate crew, the Wild Grinders, who are bound by their love of skateboarding. The show is created and executive produced by Dyrdek and produced in partnership with Home Plate Entertainment and Dyrdek’s SuperJacket Productions. Telegael and Top Draw Animation, Moonscoop and Agogo are also co-‐ producers on the HD production.

The greatest superhero in town – Captain Grindstar!

Lil Rob and his wacky crew of energetic skateboarders, the Wild Grinders, are all about having fun and grinding their way through Sprawl City! Whether it's filming stunts on homemade ramps or the local skate park, the Wild Grinders always seem to come up against their "evil nemesis" Stubford Hucksterball, clumsy skater and son of local industrialist, Track Hucksterball of Hucksterball Industries. No matter what the adventure, the Wild Grinders have what it takes to find their way out of trouble and make it home in time for dinner.

The Bottom Line

If anything is going to make you want to get your hands on this DVD, it's the title episode. Nicktoons' Wild Grinders will make anyone want to grab a skateboard and hit the pavement. Based on pro-Skateboarder Rob Drydek and his childhood, each episode is packed with friendship lessons, fairytale and superhero antics (who doesn't love that!), hilarity and, of course, rad skateboarding tricks. This cartoon is great for watching with your younger siblings - it's bright and action-packed, so they'll be glued to the screen from the start.

Unfortunately the Wild Grinders DVD could use a little extra love in the bonus materials department, but the music video is a nice addition, and the collectible comic is one the best perks of buying this collection.
