In the first groundbreaking season of Star Wars Rebels, young hero Ezra Bridger joins the clever but motley crew of the starship Ghost in their resistance against the Empire. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people.
Ezra and his new rebel friends -- Hera, Kanan, Sabine, Zeb and Chopper -- embark on daring adventures in their fight against oppression across the galaxy, receiving help from familiar heroes such as Lando Calrissian, Ahsoka Tano, and Jedi Master Yoda. Pursued relentlessly by the Imperials and a Jedi hunter called the Inquisitor, this tenacious ragtag band of rebels will find itself in the crosshairs of none other than Darth Vader when season one closes in a shocking two-part finale.

The Bottom Line
If you love to geek out about Star Wars, then this blu-ray has a lot to get excited about. Taking place somewhere between Episode III and Episode IV, this is the first official release since Disney took over from Lucasfilm - and every event in it is considered a true part of the overal story (for some non-Star Wars people, this might get a little over your head, but trust when we say it's a big deal!) Each episode is a new mission, and each one is action-packed.

With incredible CGI and a cast of incredible new characters, Rebels is an exciting start to a new era. There's no skimping on this blu-ray, there's just one word for it: AWESOME! There's a load of well thought-out extras (our faves were there "Season 1 Shorts"), and each episode holds it own as a standalone story. Definitely worth taking home!
