Good boy is a new movie that shows you what would happen if dogs could talk. Find out if Good Boy, starring Brittany Murphy and Liam Aiken, is a good flick right here!

Dogs are supposed to be man's best friend, always there to help us and comfort us. But the cute and quirky movie, Good Boy, shows that maybe it's the canines who are running the show. Read on to find out whether this movie is as fun as a squeaky toy, or as lame as picking up poop.

Good Boy - Basic Training

Good Boy is about a lonely kid named Owen who's parents move around a lot for their jobs. Owen's decided that the one thing that will keep him from feeling so lonely is having his own furry, best friend. After making Owen walk the neighborhood dogs all summer, his parents (played by Molly Shannon and Kevin Nealon), decide he's ready for his own pooch. Problem is, Owen ends up with a pooch who's just arrived from outer space - where all dogs are originally from, don't ya know. Hubble, Owen's dog, has got to prove that earth dogs are actually running the show or else they'll all be sent back to the home star!

Good Boy - The Good News

The movie Good Boy has a really fun cast. Liam Aiken is awesome as Owen and the voices of the pooches - like Brittany Murphy as the voice of the shaky Italian greyhound - are totally well done and funny. If you're a big dog lover, you'll totally dig this flick cuz there are tons of dog-related jokes and gags. Plus, it's hilarious to hear what these dogs are actually thinking.

Good Boy - The Bad News

Good Boy runs out of original jokes and gags pretty early on. How many times can you listen to a fart joke and still giggle? Also, although the whole movie is a bit far-fetched, the ending is completely unbelievable and over-the-top. Total cheese - not the good kind, but the stinky smells-like-feet kind.

Good Boy - The Bottom Line

The movie has enough cute parts, goofy gags and interesting characters to outweigh the lame ending. But, it's definitely going to be enjoyed the most by dog lovers. If you're totally into cats, or birds, or fish, and dogs don't get you warm and fuzzy, skip this flick.
