Jet Grind Radio - Dreamcast Skating Video Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

It's time to strap on your jet-skates cuz you're the head of the GG's the raddest, baddest street punks in Tokyo. You've gotta whip out your baddest grinds and best graffiti to 'tag' the city with your colors and prove that you've got the best gang.

Jet Grind Radio Game Good Vibes

Grinding through Tokyo is a site for the eyes with the sweet graphics. A new cel-shading trick makes the action look hand-drawn and totally wild. Matching up with the rad graphics are the rockin' beats. The one and only Professor K runs an underground radio show that dishes up the latest tunes. The American level rips up the soundwaves with Rob Zombie and Jurassic 5 while the Tokyo levels keep it real with a ton of rockin' japanese bands.

Jet Grind Radio Game Bad Vibes

There are a few little nuisances to deal with. The controls are really precise and can make landing grinds totally rough until you get used to 'em. That and the camera, nobody's perfected the camera yet. Changing directions and pulling tight corners can lose the camera for a split second. It's way better than most games but it can still be a pain.

Jet Grind Radio Thumbs Up:

  • Totally cool game idea.
  • Wicked graphics & sound.
  • You can use graphics from the net as your logo.

  • Jet Grind Radio Thumbs Down:

  • The Controls are a little harsh.

  • Jet Grind Radio Game Rating:
