Luis and Barry

Dec 27, 2006

Hero
Luis Gonzalez
Luis Gonzalez has been a star for the Arizona Diamondbacks on and off the baseball diamond in 2001. The Arizona outfielder is one of the National League leaders in batting average, homeruns and RBIs which has helped Arizona stay in first place in the West division.

Gonzo (his nickname) is more than just a great hitter - he's also a great guy. Luis has won baseball's Good Guy Award for the past two seasons for community work he does in Phoenix. In 1998, he organized the "Kids Going Gonzo for School" program which encourages kids to read and stay in school. Luis is also a spokesperson for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Luis is also known for being one of the most outgoing players in baseball. In exhibition games, Luis will often dress up in a mascot costume to entertain fans. He's known in Phoenix for giving generous tips whenever he makes stops at his favorite fast food restaurant and he'll spend hours after games signing autographs for fans. He'll have even more fans if he can help the Diamondbacks reach the World Series in 2001.

Zero
Barry Bonds
Barry Bonds is one of baseball's greatest players ever. He's won three National League MVP awards and leads the league in homeruns. He's also one of the leading jerks in baseball. The San Francisco Giant outfielder is a first class chump with a head that's bigger than an umpire's butt.

This guy has talent but he's also got a bad attitude. Barry is the only guy on the San Francisco Giants who's skipped the team picture for the last two years, he's the only guy that doesn't eat with the team and the only guy that doesn't warm up with the rest of the Giants. He's also a no show once the playoffs start. Barry's career batting average during the playoffs is a pathetic .196. When the going gets tough, Barry's nowhere to be found.
