Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: Soul of the Duelist Set Review (pg.2)

Dec 27, 2006

The powerful Horus the Black Flame Dragon cards are the hottest thing in the Soul of the Duelist set. The cards are all rare and come in LV4, LV6 and LV8 versions of Horus, with different powers for each card. Here's the scoop on their powers

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4

Type: Fire / Dragon
Stars: 4
Attack: 1600
Defense: 1000
As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, control of this card cannot switch. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster as a result of battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6" from your hand or Deck.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6

Type: Fire / Dragon
Stars: 6
Attack: 2300
Defense: 1600
As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, it is unaffected by any Spell Cards. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster as a result of battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" from your hand or Deck.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8

Type: Fire / Dragon
Stars: 8
Attack: 3000
Defense: 1800
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6". As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, you can negate the activation and effect of any Spell Cards and destroy them.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon Final Word

The LV4 Horus can be Normal Summoned, and so can the LV6 if you Tribute Summon it. But, you can only summon the ultimate LV8 Horus the Black Flame Dragon by using the LV6 Horus' special power, or with a Level Up card. It's tricky to summon, but the LV8 Horus is an insanely powerful monster that can also cancel your opponents Spell Cards!
