Star Wars KOTOR II: The Sith Lords Video Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

Getting Gary to play a video game is easy, the trick is getting him to stop playing long enough to spill the beans on the game. It's even harder when the game is Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords - the sequel to the best Star Wars role-playing video game ever! Here's the word from the fuzzy orange dude on how hot this game is.

Star Wars KOTOR II: The Sith Lords Game Basics

In this video game you're dumped into the space-boots of the last Jedi Knight and handed a whole bunch of adventure. You start by building his, or her, abilities, just like in the Dungeons & Dragons game. Then you play as your hero, making friends, battling enemies, traveling the galaxy, gaining more Jedi powers, solving the mystery of who you are and finding out why a horde of Sith want to stomp you flat.

What Makes Star Wars KOTOR II: The Sith Lords Kick Butt?

The coolest thing about this game is that you can choose to be a hero or a villain by following the Light or Dark Side of the Force. You also get to build a team of heroes from the peeps you meet, from wookies to droids - and each one has their own story to figure out. Plus, you can power up like crazy by building new weapons and armor, learning wicked Force powers and finding cool items!

Does Anything Suck in KOTOR II: The Sith Lords?

Yeah - it's buggy! You can get stuck running on the spot, people get stuck in the middle of walls and it'll even crash suddenly. It's not a huge problem, but you'll notice it when you're in the middle of kicking an assassin droid's tin-can butt and suddenly the whole game shuts down.

Is Star Wars KOTOR II: The Sith Lords Worth It?

Yes! It's a ton and a half of adventure with so many things to do and find that you'll be playing for months without getting bored. It also has a really cool story, classic Jedi lightsaber duels, starfighters and a chance for you to play a big, bad, Sith if you dig the Dark Side of the Force.
