Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: Dragon's Roar and Zombie Madness Deck Reviews

Dec 27, 2006

The biggest new deal for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game are the new Structure Decks - Dragon's Roar and Zombie Madness. These two decks are built to be super-powerful and to give you the scoop on powering them up. Kidzworld member Cody grabbed both of these decks, tested 'em out and here are his reviews!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: Dragon's Roar Deck Review

This deck is based off of getting strong Dragon cards out fast. You can quickly get out Red-Eyes B. Dragon with a number of combos. Red-Eyes B. Chick is a very quick way, and it would be smart to pack the deck with more of these card. The holo card in the Dragon's Roar Deck is Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon (UBER POWERFUL) that gets powered up by 300 ATK Points for every dragon in your graveyard. But, you can only summon it to the field by tributing Red-Eyes B. Dragon. It also focuses on Armed Dragon Lv. 3 to summon Armed Dragon Lv. 5, a powerful card for such quick summoning.

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon

Attack: 2400
Defense: 2000
Type: Dragon/Effect
Attribute: Dark
Text: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 1 "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" on your side of the field. Increase the ATK of this card by 300 points for each Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: Zombie Madness Deck Review

The focus of this deck is summoning from the graveyard, and drawing from the deck. If you play the Card of Safe Return, you'll be drawing like crazy. As long as you have Regenerating Mummy, Vampire Lord, and some Book of Life cards, it's a done deal. A quick combo is getting Pyramid Turtle destroyed, putting Vampire Lord on the field from Pyramid Turtle's effect, and summoning the Vampire Genesis (3000 ATK, 2100 DEF) which is the holo of the deck. With its ability you can draw faster, and summon more powerful zombies. You basically have complete control of the field and your graveyard if you have Card of Safe Return and Vampire Genesis on the field.

Vampire Genesis

Attack: 3000
Defense: 2100
Type: Zombie/Effect
Attribute: Dark
Text: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing 1 "Vampire Lord" on your side of the field from play. Discard 1 Zombie-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard to select and Special Summon 1 Zombie-Type monster from your Graveyard with a Level less than the discarded Zombie-Type monster. You can only use this effect once per turn.

Cody's Final Word on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game Decks

Both of these decks have been tested by myself, and the strategies are amazing. Good cards for adding to these decks would be Dark Paladin, a Blue Eyes White Dragon, and a Metamorphosis for Dragon's Roar. A Great Dezard and Fushioh Richie for Zombie Madness. I typed this up pretty fast, so if you have any more questions just ask me.
