Spider-Man :: Playstation Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever a spider can - including kick butt on the Playstation. Spider-Man brings home the thrills of swinging through the streets of New York City, wall-crawling, web-spinning and fighting evil.

The bad guys are lined up around the block to pound Spidey into the turf and he barely has any back-up. You'll be working overtime against the super-powered goon squad to keep Spidey in one piece. The action is fast and fun, like it's right out of the pages of a comic book.

The graphics are great and so is the sound. Spidey's loaded full of one-liners and witty comebacks. The villains have cool voices and tons of attitude. Check out Venom's tongue -it's really creepy, especially when he licks you. Ick.

Swing your way around the city just like in the comics but don't forget about the attack choppers. Ground action is more down to earth but still full of high-flying leaps and wall-crawling stunts. Hanging out on the ceiling lets you dodge almost all the guards, cuz of course no one EVER looks up.

The only problems are the camera angles. They're good but they aren't perfect and you can get confused by corners.

Sweet graphics, cool sound and a killer story. If you're an action fan you'll like it. If you're a Spidey fan you'll love it.

Thumbs Up:

  • Wicked webwork.
  • Great voices for the characters.
  • Stan Lee narrates.

Thumbs Down:

  • Camera angles.
  • Fairly short game.
