Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Video Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

Harry, Ron and Hermione are back at Hogwarts! Yay! So are Snape, Draco and Voldemort's minions! Boo! Harry needs your help in the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie-based video game for the Gamecube, Playstation 2 and Xbox. Is dealing with Death Eaters, puzzles, dragons, mer-critters and the dreaded Voldemort fun? We review the video game action and adventure right here!

New Spells, Moves, and Monsters

Just like every other Harry Potter video game, The Goblet of Fire has you controlling Harry, Ron and Hermione as they run around Hogwarts, solving puzzles, casting spells, and battling creatures. This time you get charm spells, team spellcasting, and you can play multiplayer with your friends controlling Hermione and Ron!

Excitement, Adventure and the Triwizard Tournament

The new charm spells are great cuz, they put a bunch of puzzle-solving spells into one button so all you have to do is aim your wand and cast the charm. Playing the Triwizard Tournament levels are a blast too, just watch out for the dragon! The best part though is when you get two friends together and explore Hogwarts as a team!

Huge Monsters, Evil Villains and Worse

The biggest bummer about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is that Harry, Ron and Hermione don't have different powers anymore. That and you totally miss out on all the dating and drama from the book and movie.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Final Word

It's solid! If you like Harry Potter, you'll get a dose of Potter-rific adventure and excitement. If you're not a Potter fan, it's still a decent adventure game and there are lots of items to find so it'll keep you busy for a while.
