Mother's Day Gift Ideas

May 07, 2014

Mother's Day usually means breakfast in bed, a big bouquet of flowers and a really thoughtful gift that shows your mom how much you love her. But don't be stressin' if you're stumped for ideas - we have a bunch of suggestions here for you!

For Moms Who Need to Relax

A great escape doesn't have to take your mom any further than the bathtub. With a spa set filled with bath salts, body butter, a gel eye mask, neck pillow and scented candles, she can pretend she's in tropical paradise! It's the perfect gift for the mom who has everything except the time to relax.

For Moms Who Like to Garden

Show mom you dig her with a gardening gift basket! Head down to a nursery or a garden supply store and buy a big terra cotta pot or watering can. Fill it with gardening tools (pruners, trowel and a hoe), some vegetable and flower seeds, gloves, a straw hat to protect her from the sun and a subscription to a gardening magazine.

For Moms Who Like to Cook

Wrap up a cookbook that's full of unique recipes. Throw in a few ingredients that some of the recipes call for, like sun-dried tomatoes, a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and a package of fresh mozzarella.

For Moms Who Like Jewelry

For sentimental moms, give a necklace with a pendant saying something like "#1 MOM" or a locket with a photo of you and your momma together. That way, she can keep you close to her heart even while you're at school or away for the summer at sports camp.

For Moms Who Like to Lounge

When your mom talks about slipping into something more comfortable, she means something that's ultra-soft like fleece pajamas, a terry bathrobe and furry slippers. A present like this is so soft and squishy that she'll never want to take 'em off!
