Time travel, crazy science projects, evil hats and one weird family. See it all in this Disney animated movie, now available on DVD!

Disney's Meet the Robinsons started out as a kooky book by author William Joyce. It was about a kid named Wilbur visiting the futuristic and crazy house of his friend Lewis and having a totally wild day. Now Disney has turned the story into an animated movie that's packed full of wacky time-traveling fun! Is it worth the watching? Find out with our DVD review.

Meet the Robinsons - Family Greetings!

Poor Lewis has a rough life. He was ditched at an orphanage when he was just a baby and all his crazy inventions keep blowing up, so no foster parents want him! All that changes when he gets grabbed by a time traveler and introduced to his dream family, the Robinsons. But there's a problem - an evil dude with a robotic bowler hat named Doris has his own time machine and is out to ruin Lewis's life!

Meet the Robinsons - Adventure and Excitement

The future has gone crazy! Crazy fun that is! Once Lewis meets up with the totally-nutso Robinsons, from the singing frogs to their octopus butler, it's a hoot as everything goes haywire. Then it gets even better when a gigantic, cute, Tyrannosaurus Rex shows up!

Meet the Robinsons - Vile Villains

Unfortunately Meet the Robinsons takes a while to get moving, and then the drama is poured on kinda thick. These combine to make the movie a bit awkward. The villains are kind of weird too cuz the Bowler Hat Guy is about as smart as your shoelaces. It's Doris, his bowler hat, who's the real evil genius.

Meet the Robinsons - DVD Features

The Meet the Robinsons DVD comes packed with special features like deleted scenes, music videos (including one from Jonas Brothers), and audio commentary. It also includes Family Function 5000, a family tree game, and a featurette on inventions that shaped the world.

Meet the Robinsons - Bottom Line

Transforming a futuristic fairytale into an adventure movie is tricky but Disney's Meet the Robinsons brings the wacky family to life! It's definitely for kids, but it has some really cool messages, lots of weird science fair stuff, and a great ending.
