Youth Service America is a nonprofit organization that works to increase volunteer opportunities for young peeps around the world. They're teaming up with State Farm to offer you $1,000 grants to help you address important issues in your community - but you'll need to apply soon cuz the deadline is October 16, 2007!

2008 Service-Learning Grant - Serving the Community

Have you heard of Global Youth Service Day? It's actually more than a day (April 25-27, 2008), but it's the largest service event in the world! Coordinated by Youth Service America, millions of youth from around the world get together every April to participate in activities that benefit their communities, their countries and the world.

2008 Service-Learning Grant - Free Money!

Youth Service America is teaming up with State Farm to offer the 2008 State Farm Good Neighbor Service-Learning Grant! There are a total of 100 grants of up to $1,000, which will go to support students and teachers working on projects for Global Youth Service Day 2008. Successful applicants will create a service-learning project that addresses an important issue in the community, anything from environmental awareness and climate change to health care and homelessness.

2008 Service-Learning Grant - How to Apply for a Grant

If you're between the ages of five and 25 and live in the US or in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario or New Brunswick in Canada, you're eligible to apply for the 2008 State Farm Good Neighbor Service-Learning Grant. Even your teacher can apply for this grant, so make sure to pass on the info! Click here to download an application form. You can either email the completed application to goodneighbor@ysa.org or mail it to:
