Matt Dove trashed the games after being accused of being a cry baby, Tony and Andy took the vert double and 14 year-old Dallas Friday was the Queen of Wakeboarding. Here's a look inside the 2001 X-Games in Philadelphia.

1 Matt Dove was accused of being a cry baby for the way he won the Skateboard Best Trick contest. Bob Burnquist was originally given the gold for landing a Fakie 540. But after time expired, Matt Dove pulled off a Varial 720 and the crowd went nuts. Matt complained that he never knew time was up. The judges agreed and Matt was given the gold. Bob was bumped down to third while the legendary Tony Hawk was given second for landing a 900. After the competition, Bob said Matt cried his way to the gold while Matt accused the X-Games of "making money off skaters and not giving anything back." The latest word has the top skaters talking of forming their own union.

1 Tony Hawk also made headlines at the Games by taking the gold in the Double Vert event with partner, Andy MacDonald. The gold in the first ever Skateboard Street event went to Rick McCrank. The event took place on the steps of Philadelphia's city hall - it's the first time the police have allowed skateboarding there.

1 The other new sport at this year's Games was Downhill BMX. The event took place just down the road from an Amish farm. It was one of the Games' most exciting events with plenty of big air and major wipeouts. The first-ever gold in this event went to Brandon Meadows.

1 It was youth domination at the Games' Wakeboarding competition. 14 year-old Dallas Friday won the women's gold while 16 year-old Danny Hart took first place in the men's wakeboarding.

1 For the first time, playing a video game was an official event at the Summer X-games. Andrew Lerner of New York won the X Gamers Challenge for his series of virtual ollies and tailgrabs in X Games Skateboarding for the PlayStation 2.
