Magi-Nation :: GBC Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

In his new hometown, Tony was tricked by local kids, trapped in a collapsing cave and teleported to the Moonlands. Now he's wrapped up in a prophecy and has to learn to be a mage (a kind of wizard) so he can save the Moonlands from the evil Core.

Magi-Nation Game 411

Tony can cast spells, summon creatures and use items that do cool things. His creatures fight for him and his spells and items do all kinds of cool stuff to help in battles. He learns his magic from the weird people of the Moonlands, who also help him solve the prophecy.

Magi-Nation Game Highlights

Magi-Nation is famous for its awesome artwork and manages to make the Moonlands and its people look great on the Gameboy Color (GBC.) The tunes are pretty cool too, nothing outstanding but better than a poke in the eye. The best part of the game is the characters and the story - it's funny! From the old guy who can't remember anything without jellybeans, to the bad guys who haven't got a clue. Everything is really cool.

Magi-Nation Game Bad News

What's annoying is sitting through long conversations and slow fights. If you could press a button to skip a lot of stuff it would be cool. Also, special attacks don't work too well, they cost more than they're worth.

Magi-Nation Game Summary

Magi-Nation is a cool game for your GBC with lots of exploring and adventure to keep you busy for weeks.
