Bolt is an indestructible super dog who can shoot lasers out of his eyes, defeat a hundred bad guys with one blast of his sonic bark and, most important of all, he can protect his girl, Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus), from any number of dangers. There’s just one thing—Bolt doesn’t know he’s the star of an action-packed TV show!

Bolt Blunder

Bolt has lived his whole life on a Hollywood set, so he doesn’t realize that all his super powers are really only special effects! When Bolt’s trailer is left open, he escapes the set in an attempt to rescue Penny from the evil Green-Eyed Man, but he doesn’t know that Penny is fine—she’s just off-set waiting for the next take!

Just a Common Cur?

Once in the real world, Bolt meets Mittens, an innocent alley cat who Bolt mistakes for one of the Green-Eyed Man’s evil minions. Bolt demands that Mittens lead him to Penny, but the cat is (of course) clueless, so Bolt drags Mittens across California on a quest to find Penny. Along the way, when his powers start to fail him, Bolt begins to realize that maybe he’s not so super after all. It’s up to Mittens to teach Bolt how to act like a dog and up to Penny to convince Bolt that he’s still special to her.

DVD Special Features

The bonus disc features a new animated short film called Super Rhino, featuring Bolt’s adorable hamster in a ball sidekick. The DVD also features a behind-the-scenes voice session with Miley Cyrus and John Travolta who voiced Bolt, as well as lots of deleted scenes and Creating the World of Bolt—where you learn how the animators designed the look of the characters..
