Join Marty and Grace in the thrilling sequel to Cryptid Hunters—Tentacles by Roland Smith.

Author: Roland Smith

Grace and Marty’s last adventure was life-changing. Travis Wolfe’s team of Cryptid Hunters found two dinosaur eggs in the Congo, while narrowly escaping Noah Blackwood (Grace’s grandfather) and his politically powerful cronies. Weirdest of all, Marty and Grace discovered that they aren’t twins like they had been raised to believe—they’re cousins!

Aboard the Coelacanth

Now Grace, Marty and his best friend Luther are joining the Cryptid Hunter’s on their journey by sea to New Zealand. Their ship, the Coelacanth (see-la-kanth) is fit to burst with high-tech security equipment, hoping to thwart Noah Blackwood from infiltrating their ship. But a man with as much money and influence as Noah Blackwood is hard to keep at bay.

Giant Squid

The team sets sail in search of another creature of legend—a giant squid. Meanwhile, they prepare for the dinosaur eggs to hatch. But there’s some suspicious activity going on aboard the ship. Cameras and security gadgets are going missing. It’s rumored that there may be a stowaway.

Evil in Disguise

Butch McCall, Noah Blackwood’s main man, has disguised himself as a scientist and boarded the ship. With so many faces on board, he’s sure to blend into the crowd. When the timing is right, it’ll be his job to kidnap Grace, steal the dinosaur eggs, and sink the Coelacanth. Is he up the challenge?

The Bottom Line

Tentacles by Roland Smith is non-stop entertainment. The book mentions a lot of high-tech devices and ship operations, but it’s easy to follow for those who aren’t familiar with the equipment. Adventure lovers and sci-fi buffs won’t be able to put Tentacles down.
