  • May 3rd - The Rock (Dwayne Johnson,) star of The Scorpion King, turned 30.
  • May 6th - Ocean's 11 star, George Clooney, turned 41.
  • May 16th - Angel's David Boreanaz turned 31 and Janet Jackson turned 36.
  • May 20th - Pop diva Cher turned 56.

    Break-Ups

    Can you say soap opera? Pop princess Britney Spears announced that she had reunited with her curly-haired BF, Justin Timberlake, only to supposedly break-up with him again a week later. The reason for the second break-up was reportedly because Justin took that same pesky brunette dancer, Jenna Dewan, to Janet Jackson's birthday party. Hey J, what were you thinkin'? Why don't you write Dear Dish-it, she might be able to help you work out your love life.

    Injuries

    On the morning of May 23rd, Alien Ant Farm's tour bus smashed into a parked truck in Caceres, Spain, killing their bus driver. AAF's lead singer, Dryden Mitchell, was hospitalized with a back injury, bassist Tye Zamora with a foot injury, guitarist Terry Corso with a broken ankle and drummer Mike Cosgrove with cuts and bruises. Their manager and a few tour techs were also injured. Alien Ant Farm was supposed to return from their European tour for a gig in Washington, D.C. but were forced to cancel. That's gotta suck. Let's hope the guys feel better soon!

    Hottie Barry Watson, who plays Matt Camden on 7th Heaven, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, a type of cancer that his doctors say is 95 percent curable. He's begun treatment and both Barry and his docs are really optimistic about a full recovery. Hodgkin's disease affects the lymphatic system.

    Baby Newz

    The hottest vamp on the planet is now a daddy! Not only did Angel have a baby in TV-Land but hottie actor David Boreanaz, who plays the neck-biting babe, had one too! David Boreanaz and his wife, actress Jaime Bergman, welcomed a little angel into the world on May 1st, 2002. Their son, who they named Jaden Rayne, was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to David Boreanaz's publicist.

    Good Deed

    Ashley Judd, Mary J. Blige, Courteney Cox Arquette, Willa Ford, Survivor Outback's Tina Wesson, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne and other celebs have come together to support Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. The stars gathered together to design, autograph and donate personal hats and headdresses that are fashioned after the hats featured in the flick, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.

    From May 27th to June 10th, the star's hats will be auctioned on eBay. The sale of the merchandise will raise awareness and funds for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood hits theaters June 7th, 2002.
