Dance Disney-Style

Dance Dance Revolution Disney Grooves is a dance-rhythm game designed specifically for the Nintendo Wii. Like other DDR games, you’ll have to dance on a plastic floor mat that acts like a giant controller, following prompts that appear on screen (for example, tap your feet forward, back, left and right). You can get a version of the game that’s less expensive, but the one we reviewed was a bundle that came complete with two floor mats. Plus, there’s a Wii-based twist to this DDR title: you’ll be challenged to match hand movements, too, using the Wii remote and Nunchuk.

What we loved about this particular DDR title is – you guess it – its Disney connection, In addition to dancing as a your very own Mii character, you can hit a ton of Disney-themed dance floors as classic characters like Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, and, of course, Mickey. The song list is totally Disney, too, with 40 tracks of classic songs and remixes like “It’s a Small World,” “Zip A Dee Doo Dah,” “A Pirate’s Life” and “Chim Chim Cher-ee.” There are also some less well-known songs like “Ice Ice Mickey” and “MC Mickey.”
