The Spill Canvas: Band Bio

Jul 10, 2018

It's been almost three years since you last heard from radio-friendly rockers The Spill Canvas. Well, that’s about to change. The fearless foursome are back with a bang in 2010, having released a three-song EP, Abnormalities, in January, and prepping to launch the five-song EP Realities on April 13, 2010.

Going Solo

Nick Thomas, the singer, guitarist and brains behind The Spill Canvas, recorded his first songs at age 15 while growing up in South Dakota. Playing solo shows in and around his hometown, Nick called himself The Spill Canvas,

The other members who joined the band later on are:

  • Dan Ludeman: Guitar / Vocals
  • Joe Beck: Drums
  • Landon Heil: Bass

Banding Together

After officially transitioning from solo act to full-fledged rock band, The Spill Canvas recorded their dynamic debut full-length record, One Fell Swoop in 2005. It sold more than 50,000 copies.

The Spill Canvas released their major-label debut full-length No Really, I’m Fine in October 2007. The radio hit from the album was All Over You. After that, the band started touring with The Plain White T’s, OneRepublic and others, and grew a loyal fanbase.

Right now, The Spill Canvas are hard at work in the studio, recording the follow-up to No Really, I’m Fine for release in April 2010. You can read lots more about this cool band at www.thespillcanvas.com.
