Vita Chambers just released her energetic new single, Young Money, and her hot debut album is set to drop in March. Vita was also just confirmed for this year’s Lilith Fair festival! Vita says she’s most excited to see Lilith Fair organizer Sarah McLachlan, R&B greats Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu and of course, her SRP/Motown label mate, Cara Salimando.

Justin Bieber In NYC

Vita also shared some big news with Kidzworld: “I’m opening up for Justin Bieber! I’m so excited! [The show is] in New York City at the Nassau Coliseum.” The venue seats over 18,000 people—luckily for Vita, she’s already performed in front of massive crowds.

“I did the half time show for Thanksgiving—we did a whole Motown tribute medley and I sang Heatwave—that was the biggest audience I’ve ever performed for.”

Since the show was televised, Vita’s whole family got to watch. “My parents were freaking out—like, “Oh my God, my baby!”—it was hilarious.”

Young Money

Vita’s new single Young Money is a bouncy pop track guaranteed to get you up and moving. “We just really wanted a fun, really out there kind of song,” Vita says. During the opening lines, Vita gives a shout-out to the rapper, Drake. “I’m a big fan,” she admits. “I’m excited to meet him and hopefully he’ll do a little something on Young Money!”

Vita's Debut Album

Young Money is the lead single for Vita’s debut album that’s scheduled to drop at the end of March 2010. “It’s going to be different, but still feel familiar,” Vita promises. “It’s going to be lots of my passion and music coming out and I hope that everybody loves it.”

“It’s all original songs—I’m co-writing—sitting back and learning,” she laughs. “I’m recording a new song today as a matter of fact. It’s called I Party—it’s going to be really, really fun.” Look for I Party, Young Money and a slew of new songs when Vita drops her debut album in March 2010.
