The School Gyrls Band Bio

Jul 10, 2018

Not only do The School Gyrls LOOK like sweet high-school students, they actually ARE! Check out their band bio and link up with other School Gyrls fans on Kidzworld by joining the School Gyrls Group!

The “Students”

The School Gyrls band includes Mandy Rain (15), Jacque Rae Pyles (15) and Monica Parales (16). These three pint-sized pop stars pack major punch – not to mention talent – into one absolutely adorable adolescent package.

Triple Threat

Signed to Nick Cannon's NCredible Entertainment, Nick was first introduced to Mandy on the set of Star Camp, the reality show he produced for Nickelodeon, where she served as the youngest member of the Star Camp group The Giggle Club. So impressed with her dancing and singing ability, Nick started auditioning for other teens to create an all-girl pop group. That’s when he stumbled upon the unbelievable talents of two local Southern California girls: Jacque and Monica. The three girls immediately hit it off vocally and on the dance floor.

Making The Band

The group officially formed in November 2008 and have been hard at work ever since. They made their TV debut as The School Gyrls with Nick on the season finale of the E! TV show Party Monsters in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in January 2009 and have since been busy recording their debut album which will be released in 2010.

Star Sights

A self-titled, full-length feature film written and directed by Nick recently wrapped, which focuses on the three teen stars and features cameos from Reverend Run, Justin Bieber, Kristinia DeBarge, Soulja Boy, Angie Stone, Pete Wentz and others. The School Gyrls movie is slated to air on TeenNick/Nickelodeon in Spring 2010.

Barely Legal

Though barely old enough to drive, these young ladies are seasoned professionals, with over 20 years of acting, singing and dancing experience combined. All professionally trained “triple threats,” they have each appeared in countless print and TV ad campaigns, music videos and performed as dancers for a variety of live stage shows. But, at the heart of all of it, they are still sassy teenage girls who share a love for shopping, fashion and roller coasters!
