America's Got Talent Season 5 :: Top 10

Sep 09, 2010

This week on America’s Got Talent, only the Top 10 acts remain. The best of the best battle it out for a spot in the Top 4 finale.

  • First up, Studio One Young Beast Society took a huge gamble with their tricks. But it paid off. They showed the judges some moves they’ve never seen before.

  • Second was Christina and Ali, the sisters with cystic fibrosis. Piers admitted that they’re not the best technical singers in the competition, but they exude happiness.

  • Next, Jeremy VanSchoonhoven hit every mark with his dangerous bike jumping act. Piers said that no one is a crowd pleaser like him.

  • Taylor Matthews gave his best performance by a mile, and they loved his arrangement of the song he chose. He’s a teen heartthrob, but is he good enough to win America’s votes?

  • Anna and Patryk had a rough start to their performance when Anna tumbled down the stairs on her first step. But she picked right back up and danced her heart out. That’s a true professional!

  • Fighting Gravity wowed the judges once again with their phenomenal glow-in-the-dark act. Their performances get bigger and better every week.

  • Michael Grimm sang his heart out, and showed America how much he loves to be on stage. The judges loved his confidence and stage presence.

  • Michael Grasso was dubbed the ‘King of Magic’ by Sharron. He performed another slick illusion that had Piers calling him the best magician they’ve ever had on the show.

  • Prince Poppycock showed his all-American spirit when he performed a unique arrangement of Yankee Doodle Dandy. The judges loved how grand and colourful his performances are.

  • Finally, 10 year old Jackie Evancho brought her angelic voice to the stage. With flawless execution and a voice that sounds 20 years older than she is, she got Howie wondering: “Did you swallow a grown up?”

America voted four acts into the finale: Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity and Prince Poppycock.
