Dancing with the Stars Season 11: Week 3

Oct 05, 2010

This week on Dancing with the Stars season 11, the judges chose a couple that certainly wasn’t the best technically to perform the encore routine—The Situation and Karina. But what the Situation lacked in skill, he made up for in entertainment. They incorporated a giant time machine into their routine, and gave an enjoyable performance.

  • 1st place: This week Audrina and Tony took the number one spot with 26 points for their waltz. That’s the highest score of the season so far!
  • 2nd place: Jennifer and Derek wound up in second place this week with 24 points, instead of their usual first place. They still performed well, but the bar was set a little higher this week. Rick and Cheryl, as well as Brandy and Maks, tied them with their sexy Sambas.
  • 5th place: Kurt and Anna performed a foxtrot that earned them 23 points. But their choice of song wasn’t the best. ‘Bad Day’ by Daniel Powder just doesn’t seem worth of a ballroom routine. Kyle and Lacey tied them at 23 points with their waltz.
  • 7th place: Florence and Corky received 7th place after waltzing their way to 20 points. Up until this point, Florence’s upbeat tempos have given her a leg up. But in this week’s slow waltz, her age really showed. Tying them with 20 points was The Situation and Karina, who seem to be inching their way up the talent ladder each week.
  • 9th place: Bristol Palin didn’t do so well with her partner Mark. They performed the foxtrot and Bristol lacked the emotional connection she needed to have with Mark. They wound up with 19 points, which was one of the lowest scores of the night.
  • 10th place: Margaret and Louis fell to the bottom of the pack this week with their Samba, earning them only 18 points.

America was swayed by the judges’ votes this week, and they sent the lowest scoring couple home: Margaret and Louis.
