Hey Coach,

Is it possible to go downhill with a snowskate like with a snowboard? Can I speed up or is a snowskate just for parking lots?
sopi

Hey sopi,

Snowskates are gear that can be used in parking lots, your backyard, the terrain park at your favorite resort or just about anywhere you can find snow. You can also ride a snowskate down hills, like with a snowboard, but be careful, since you're not strapped into bindings. If you get going too fast down a steep hill or through a set of moguls, you'll be eating snow, and in a lot of pain. Snowskates are like a skateboard you can use in the snow, so they're great for ollies, railslides and jumps in the terrain park. They're not designed for carving down steep hills or cruising through powder. So be careful, know your limits and always wear a helmet.

Hey Coach,

I'm right handed and have trouble handling and shooting the basketball with my left hand. Can you give me any advice to help me improve?
DanteAI3

Hey DanteAI3,

Learning to play basketball with your weak hand is a difficult skill - especially for kids who are going through growth spurts and sometimes have trouble with body coordination. Shooting with your weak hand feels awkward and you probably feel like you have no control over the ball. The best advice is practice, practice, practice. Whenever, you're playing ball, make sure you spend as much time shooting and dribbling with your left hand, as you do with your right. If you're playing with your friends, play a game where everyone can only shoot with their weak hand. You may miss a lot of shots, but your weak hand will definitely improve. If you can dribble and shoot the basketball well with both hands, you'll be a nightmare for defenders and have way more options when you're driving to the hoop.
