America's Next Top Model Cycle 15 Episode 9 Recap

Nov 03, 2010

This week on America’s Next Top Model, Tyra surprised the top six girls with a trip to Venice, Italy. When they arrived at their hotel, they found that their living quarters were a little more cramped than what they were used to California.

Venetian Casanova

At the photo shoot, the girls dressed up like they were back in the Victorian era. They modeled in groups of three—each vying for one “Casanova’s” attention, while sitting in a gondola. Even though Kayla struggles with photo shoots involving men, she managed to swallow the horrors of her past and deliver an amazing photo. Jane also rocked the shoot by embodying the historical look. Chris and Ann struggled, but as we know, Ann’s awkwardness often pays off in her photo.

Angela Missoni

Next the girls flew from Venice to Milan, one of Italy’s fashion capitals. They each dressed up in an outfit from fashion designer Angela Missoni’s fall collection, and showed her their runway walk. Most of the girls found this very uncomfortable because the weather in Milan was hot, hot, hot! As you know sweaters and sweltering heat don’t exactly mix.

Elimination

The girls wore the fall clothing to panel, and a few looked like they might pass out. Kayla, Jane and Chelsey were praised for their photos. And even Ann’s awkwardness pulled through for her and she delivered a decent photo. Kayla received top photo for the first time, while Chris and Liz landed in the bottom two. The judges felt that Chris’s bubbly personality wasn’t enough to get her through the competition. She needed to deliver quality photos as well. And Liz makes too many excuses. In the end, Liz was sent home.
