Barbie Video Girl

Dec 14, 2010

Doesn’t matter how old you are – you’re gonna have a blast with Barbie Video Girl from Mattel! When you combine technology with an iconic doll like Barbie, you get a girly gift that’s hard to resist!

Barbie Batteries

First thing you need to know is that you’re gonna need four AAA batteries to get Barbie going (plus a screwdriver and a mom or dad to help you get those batteries in!). Once you’ve got that out of the way, you can start rolling – literally!

Barbie Buttons

The three buttons on Barbie’s back are what you’ll use to record videos. The delete button looks like a trash can. The play button is for instant playback of your video. And the tiny camera button in the middle is what you’ll press to stop and start recording – it also powers the doll on and off.

Barbie B-Roll

To record videos, just press the camera button and the LCD will power on. Barbie’s camera records in 320x240 resolution at 15 frames per second. When you’re ready to roll, just press the camera button again and Barbie will start recording whatever you point her at. Watch the LCD screen on her back to see what you’re capturing on tape!

Barbie Blast

Once you’re done recording you can hook Barbie up to your computer. You can even go to the Barbie Video Girl website to download some free editing software (ask your parents first!). It’s really easy to use and you can add special effects, sounds, fade ins and outs and more.
