America's Got Talent: Season 6, Episode 20 :: Quarter-Finals Round 4

Aug 03, 2011

This week on America’s Got Talent Season 6, round 4 of the quarter-finals kicked off with disappointment and 36 hours of time wasted. Episode 20 aired on August 2, 2011.

The Biggest Blooper Ever

It’s disappointing when a day and a half of work proves ineffective. Unfortunately for the Kinetic King, his massive obstacle course of domino popsicle sticks didn’t work. What a shame. Luckily Zuma Zuma brought some much needed energy to the stage with their act, and the judges loved all the new elements they incorporated.

Chipmunks and Juggling

Avery and the Calico Hearts still sounded like chipmunks, not that that’s a bad thing. Howie felt that they were less of a million dollar Las Vegas act, and more of a Saturday morning kids show. Charles Peachock switched things up with his juggling routine. He played the piano with the balls he was juggling. Talk about talent! Howie and Piers fought over the success of this act. Piers thought it was brilliant, while Howie thought it was a step back.

Impersonating Sharon Osbourne

Sam B was just as ridiculous and energetic as ever with his dance routine. But Piers still wasn’t feeling it. Taylor Davis sang Falling Slowly, which Howie thought was the wrong song choice even though he sang it well. Comedian Melissa Villasenor impersonated a whole new round of celebs, including Drew Barrymore, Owen Wilson and Sharon Osborne just to name a few.

Tea Party

Scott Alexander united a gospel choir with his magic trick, which Piers thought was fantastic. Fatally Unique depicted soldiers in their dance routine. Sharon thought they were so strong and loved how well they stayed in character. The Yellow Designs Stunt Team mixed BMX tricks with the Mad Hatter’s tea party. For Sharon, they proved that a BMX act deserves to be on stage.

The Jelly Doughnut

Frank Miles performed another dangerous act including a bunch of crossbows and a jelly doughnut. When the arrow failed to pierce the doughnut, Frank used his thumb to make a hole, hoping the judges wouldn’t notice. They noticed! Finally Team iLuminate performed another dance routine that had the judges on their feet. Howie called their act the best thing he’s ever seen on the show.

Sneak Peak of Team iLuminate on America's Got Talent

This week, four more acts will move on to the semi-finals. Who will it be? Stay tuned for more America’s Got Talent.
