End of Summer Bucket List

Aug 13, 2020

Summer is almost over… have you finished your bucket list? A bucket list is a list of things you really ought to do before you "kick the bucket." Since the end of the summer is almost the same thing, Kidzworld has come up with a Top 10 Things to do Before the End of Summer Bucket List.

No. 10: Tweak Your Style

It’s always good to come back to school with a slight change in your style. Whether it’s a change of fashion, a new haircut, or maybe even throwing in some cool slang to the way you speak.

No. 9: Clean Your Room

Cleaning your room can make you feel re-born if you do it with love and positive energy. Take the time to organize things so you can find everything easier, or dress up the walls with collages of pics and posters so you feel inspired when you are living in your room. A nice little secret to making a room feel great is to add a little plant to give it some life!

No. 8: Dear Grandparents

So you might have already completed your own bucket list with a bunch of fun activities throughout the summer. But did you write your grandparents to tell them all about it? There’s nothing your grandparents want more than to hear from you and even if it’s a quick note with maybe a picture, take some time to tell your nana and nono all about your summer.

No. 7: Sing a Song

If you learn the lyrics to at least one song every summer, by the time you graduate, you’ll be able to sing a whole record album!

No. 6: Lemonade Stand

A classic way to make a little extra cash while soaking up some sun is a lemonade stand. It’s also a great way to meet the new kids on your street!

No. 5: Party Time

The end of summer is a great excuse to throw one mega-party. If you ask your parents nicely, you might be able to get them to pitch in with some food and drinks!

No. 4: Scrapbooking

You must have a bunch of new pics from over the last two months right? Well, put them into a binder labeled “SUMMER '20”  and dress it up with comments and signatures from your friends so you can treasure this best summer ever!

No. 3: Charity

It’s important to realize that you have a lot of things that other kids don’t. Summer is a great time to show your appreciation by taking a day to help others. You can do a day of volunteer work or maybe just donate some old clothes to a children’s foundation.

No. 2: Friendship Memento

So you have a new friend from the summer and you might not see them as much once you go back to school. You should make them a little token to show how much you care about them. How about a colorful friendship bracelet?

No. 1: Jump off the High Dive

Oh yeah, you’ve been psyching yourself up all summer to jump off the high dive at the pool. Just do it already!
