Sonic and his friends are back on the racetracks! Take kart racing to the next transformation on the Wii U!

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is the sequel to 2010's Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Choose from various Sega characters, such as Sonic, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, Amigo from Samba de Amigo, B.D. Joe from Crazy Taxi, Ulala from Space Channel 5, and Nights from Nights into Dreams.

Racing Transformed

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is not just another racing game. The race tracks are amazing and interesting. Some will transform as you race, making the second and third laps very different from the first. At certain points of each track, your vehicle will transform and you will take to the skies or seas. Every track has lots of secrets and shortcuts to discover as well, giving race addicts something to aim for when trying to get the fastest time on a track.

Not only is the racing experience and the track different, but the items and weapons in the game are quite unique. For example, there is a baseball glove that you can use to catch other people's attacks. Several items require some skill to use. For example, the Hot Rod item gives you extra speed but you have to release it before you overheat. Meanwhile, the whirlwind will reverse your controls, but if you are used to it, it will hardly affect you.

Bonus Stars

As you progress in the Career Mode, you can unlock things like new characters. There are even non-Sega characters in the mix, including your Mii and Wreck-It Ralph. The Wii U version of the game also has several mini-games that take advantage of the new Wii U controls. Also, the gamepad allows for five-player local multiplayer! Overall, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has become something incredibly fun and enjoyable and is definitely a great game to pick up.
