Pretty Little Liars: Season 4, Episode 5:: Gamma Zeta Die

Jul 10, 2013

This week on Pretty Little Liars, Spencer gets some help getting into college, and some new clues! Find out what you missed in the Kidzworld Recap of "Gamma Zeta Die!" which aired July 9th, 2013.

Schooling Spencer

This week on PLL was all about shopping around for colleges, which is pretty important given that our liars gave up textbooks for sleuthing at the start of everything and now they all seem stuck when it comes to getting in to the school of their dreams. Spencer's mother makes an appointment with an admissions counselor, Brendan, to help her out. He also ends up helping Emily (who is trying for a scholarship), and advises her to rebrand herself (like, play it "straight"), and that's not all, it looks like Brendan might be sweet on Ems, but she has to reveal to him that she's more of a girls' girl.

While visiting Cicero college with Emily in tow, they discover the first part of parrot's tune matches the number code there - and that's not where it ends, Spencer is in detective mode, discovering the number comes from Greek Row.

Mommy Dearest

Everyone's mom is up to something this week, starting with Ella, who says she might back out on her plan with Zack because Mike isn't okay with it. 'A' sends Aria a text right  before a whole hive full of bees in Ella's trunk stings her - she's okay, but Aria is more determined than ever to get her out of there! Mike thinks she wants their mom gone so she can gt back together with Ezra, so she turns to her Dad to convince her to leave.

Ashley asks Spencer's mom Victoria to look into what the police have on her for Detective Wilden's murder, and while she's out Hanna snoops around in her room until she discovers a gun in a plastic bag  - uh oh!

Gamma Gun

Hanna tries to all Spencer at Cicero to tell her about the gun, but ends up sticking it in her purse and meeting Ems house mother who was fired for an unknown reason. Spencer at a sorority party there. While talking to a sorority girl, Ems finds out about Mrs.Grunwald, a former Spencer tells her they have to leave, but at the party discovers an abandoned room with an old radio and phone - and voila! The number for the phone matches the parrot's tune, and even freakier, there are claw marks on the back of the door (like someone was locked in!)

Hanna decides to bury the gun in the woods, but the police catch her in the act and haul her back through the party for questioning. At the end of the episode we see 'A' dust off a photo of Mrs. Grunwald and the Gamma girls.
