To say that Miley Cyrus has taken a wild turn with her image and music could be the understatement of the year, but you can't deny that she's got people talking - whether it's debating her bold new hair cut her alarming MTV VMA's performance, or accusing the 20-year-singer of getting too racy just for more attention - good or bad! We have to give it to Miley though, she truly delivers a near-perfect collection of danceable pop songs on her new album Bangerz, showing that she's not afraid to be bold with just her image, but also her sound.

"We Can't Stop" sets the tone for the album, although there are some sweet slower tracks on there ("Wrecking Ball" for one), it is ultimately packed with party jams (or "bangers") that'll get you in a dancing mood. Miley's drastic image-change may be a publicity stunt, but Bangerz proves that the starlet has the vocal talent to back it up, her voice never takes a back seat to the impressive production. On the track "4X4" featuring Nelly you can hear Miley's signature bluesy-country twang, and "#GETITRIGHT" is the kind of feel-good song you'll want to listen to on a sunny day, chilling out on your back porch or riding your bike down tree-lined streets. Slower ballads like "Adore You," "Do My Thang" and "Drive" show us Miley's impressive vocal skills, while still staying uptempo enough to keep up with the rest of the record.

With Bangerz Miley is ready to join the dance track divas of pop like Rihanna Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Ke$ha. There are no duds on this album and it might, surprisingly, be one of the best pop records to come out this year.
