2013 was the year that Miley dominated the charts like a "wrecking ball," and Selena Gomez made us all want to "come and get" her new album - and that's just the start. Let's take a look at the best songs of the year in Kidzworld's Top 10 Songs of 2013!

There was so much good music this year, it was hard to pick just 10!There was so much good music this year, it was hard to pick just 10!Courtesy of youknowitgotsoul.blogspot.com

No.10:  I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift

This song was famously penned about her fling with One Direction bad boy Harry Styles, and that this song is trouble once its stuck in your head!

No.9:  Come & Get It - Selena Gomez

The lead single off her 2013 album Stars Dance, Selena rocked the charts by daring us all to "Come & Get It," and let's just say that her album sales prove that we did.

No.8:  Hold On, We're Going Home - Drake feat. Majid Jordan

Drake has found a sweet spot when it comes to making rap and hip hop that pretty much everyone can get on board with, and while his album Nothing Was the Same has more than a few golden numbers (like "Started From the Bottom" and "All Me"), "Hold On, We're Going Home" is a standout. Check him out at the 2013 MTV VMA's.

No.7: Mirrors - Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake made a musical comeback worth talking about this year by releasing  a double album packed with amazing pop tunes that touch on everything to classic jazz to soul and R&B. "Mirrors" is the song that kicked it all off.

No.6: Heart Attack - Demi Lovato

Talk about strong young women in media, Demi Lovato showed the public this year exactly how impressive it is to own up to your own struggles and come out the other side, and "Heart Attack" has all the energy of a true warrior.

No.5: Cups - Anna Kendrick

Did you love Pitch Perfect? It's hard to find someone who didn't! Lead star (and singer) Anna Kendrick sang "Cups" for the film and as a result it shot up the charts in 2013.

No.4: Best Song Ever - One Direction

You have to have a lot of confidence to put out a single called "The Best Song Ever," but luckily that's not something the boys of One Direction are lacking in. In 2013 they not only released the album Midnight Memories, they also put out a documentary film about themselves, and the fans are still asking for more!

No.3:  We Can't Stop or Wrecking Ball - Miley Cyrus

Love her or hate her, this was a big year for Miley Cyrus, she broke off her engagement with Liam Hemsworth, completely reinvented her image, put out an album that critics loved and got up to a few other hijinx that definitely put her on the map! It's a toss up for us whether "We Can't Stop" or "Wrecking Ball" is the better song though.

No.2: Get Lucky - Daft Punk feat. Pharrell

"Get Lucky" is a song that just gets under your skin, and makes you want to dance, Daft Punk have been around for years and pop artists have sampled their music no end, but with Pharrell's magical voice this song truly comes alive.

No.1: Royals - Lorde

At the start of 2013 this teen from New Zealand was a complete unknown, but she quickly got the music world abuzz with questions. "Royals" was just the beginning, Lorde is on a mission to show that pop music can be thoughtful and beautiful - and we like that!
