This Week In News: Doctor Strange, Terminator and a Frozen Short

This has been an insane week for trailers and casting news! Looks like we’re trying to get everything posted before the holidays! This week we got the trailer for Terminator, who’s who in Bond 24, Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” was cast and a Frozen short! Check out what you missed this week!

1. Will Smith and More Join the Suicide Squad Movie

DC’s Suicide Squad has been cast and it’s full of stars. Will Smith is playing Headshot, Jared Leto is the Joker, Tom Hardy is Rick Flagg, Margot Robbit is Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney is Boomerang and Cara Delevinge is Enchantress. So who are they? They’re a group of super villains who are getting a second chance from the government. This may be the most fun we’re going to have with a DC movie!

2. Frozen Fever to Run before Cinderella

We’re going to see Elsa and Anna again on the big screen. Though Idina Menzel mentioned doing Frozen 2, it hasn’t been confirmed. What we do know is that Disney is bringing us a short that is going to run before Cinderella! The film opens on March 13, 2015 and will show us what happens when Elsa’s powers get in the way of Anna’s birthday celebration.

3. LEGO Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy

LEGO YouTubers Beyond the Brick were commissioned with a LEGO Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy and they came up with the piece below. This awesomeness was part of a live-stream charity event from this past weekend. Do you have a favorite LEGO piece? We want to hear about it in the comments!

4. New Trailer for Terminator Genisys

We’ve been waiting for the trailer for the new Terminator movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Doctor Who’s” Matt Smith, Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke and “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke. Today we got it. This version turns everything on its head. Check it out below and let us know what you think!

5. Benedict Cumberbatch To Play Marvel’s Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is one of the most anticipated Marvel films coming up and it’s long been speculated that the Internet’s boyfriend Benedict Cumberbatch would play the role. This week we learned that this is indeed the case. If you’re not familiar with the character, he’s Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers magic and alternate dimensions. Marvel’s Phase Three is shaping up!

6. Krysten Ritter to play Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix

“Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23” star Krysten Ritter has been cast as Marvel character Jessica Jones in the upcoming Netflix series. Jessica Jones used to be a superhero named Jewel who retires and becomes a private investigator. What do you think of the casting?

7. James Bond 24 will be called Spectre

We’ve got a name and cast list for the upcoming 24th film in the James Bond series. The film will be called Spectre and will see the return of Daniel Craig in the lead role. The cast will also include Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux and Christoph Waltz.  "A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization," a statement from Sony Pictures said. "While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE."
