The Bottom Line
It may be on the cheesy side (like pretty much all of Nicholas Sparks' books and movies), but The Longest Ride is guaranteed to make you cry. It's a classic story, city girl meets country boy, they fall for each other, but are their lives are so different, will it ever work? Britt Robertson and Scott Eastman have real chemistry in this tear-jerker, and that's what really makes the difference - and they're not bad to look at either! Scott Eastman is the son of legendary Westerns film actor Clint Eastwood, so playing the part of the rural stud who loves bull riding (even though it might kill him) really comes naturally.

This blu-ray has some nice special features, for fans of the author the "A Writer’s Journey: A Day in the Life of Nicholas Sparks" featurette is a nice touch, and there are two different special features on bull riding, which is obviously fascinating - how many people do you know ride bulls?
