  • May 12th - Jason Biggs hit 26 while skateboarding legend Tony Hawk turned 36.
  • May 14th - Amber Tamblyn, AKA Joan of Arcadia, turned 21.
  • May 16th - Janet Jackson hit 38.
  • May 18th - Funny girl Tiny Fey turned 34.
  • May 25th - Sir Ian McKellen hit 65 and Shrek 2 star Mike Myers turned 41.

  • Fantasia Barrino Crowned as the Third American Idol

    Weeks of grueling competition finally came to an end on May 26, 2004 when Fantasia Barrino was crowned the latest American Idol. 19 year-old Fantasia beat 16 year-old Diana DeGarmo by 1.3 million votes to join fellow American Idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard.     May Baby News - Gwyneth Paltrow Has a Baby Girl!

    Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin welcomed their first child into the world on May 14, 2004 - a baby girl named Apple Blythe Alison Martin. Gwyneth and Chris haven't yet explained why they chose the name Apple, except to say that they just liked the name. Wonder if that's the same explanation they'll give Apple when she's getting made fun of at school?


    Cho Chung Cast for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

    Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban hits theaters June 4, 2004 but for the cast of Harry Potter, their already looking ahead to the next flick. Harry Potter's first girlfriend has been cast for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie. An unknown Scottish actor named Katie Leung has been cast to play Cho Chung. Cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have also signed on for Goblet of Fire which begins filming in the summer of 2004.


    Britney Spears Has a Tantrum

    Britney Spears is spending her summer on tour but she's not happy about it. The month of May was spent in Europe where the Britney love is a little hard to find. Brit's cancelled numerous shows due to poor turn out (some arenas have only been a third full), and she even ran off stage crying in Berlin, Germany. Rumor has it that Britney isn't dealing well with all the bad reviews she's been getting and just wants to go home to her mom.
