Aug 18, 2015

Birthdate: September 30, 1982
Birthplace: Purvis, MI

A Star is Born

Lacey started doing drama and musical performances in her hometown of Mississippi. She entered Star Search when she was nine years old, and became a junior vocalist finalist, which opened doors to the acting industry. She gained her break in a cough syrup commercial, and then went on to play Cosette in the Broadway production of Les Miserables.

The Plastic

Lacey's claim to fame came through the role of Claudia Salinger in the hit show, Party of Five. Claudia was the youngest Salinger sister and a violin prodigy, who along with her brothers and sisters, had to grow up fast when their parents died in a car accident. When Party of Five ended, Lacey went on to appear in movies such as Not Another Teen Movie, where she spoofed Jennifer Love Hewitt's character from Can't Hardly Wait. Lacey also appeared in Daddy Day Care with Eddie Murphy, and starred as a popular member of The Plastics in the hit flick, Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan.

Going Animated

Lacey is known in Hollywood for her sweet personality and cute voice, which helped her get parts in animated movies and TV shows, like Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberrys, Family Guy and Rugrats Go Wild! She's currently working on Dirty Deeds, an American Pie-like teen comedy about a high school senior who must complete a series of challenges before homecoming weekend.

Lacey Chabert Says...

"I don't want to be a teen star because so many people don't ever grow out of that."
