Pokemon Dash: Nintendo DS Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

Pokemon Dash is the first Pokemon video game for the Nintendo DS but it's not a regular Pokemon game, it's a racing game! You control Pikachu as he races against other Pokemon through 25 different racetracks, gathering power-ups and doing weird moves the whole way. Here's our game review!

High-Speed Pikachu in Pokemon Dash

The best news about this game is that you can plug in your old GBA Pokemon video games like Ruby/Sapphire, FireRed/LeafGreen and others and they'll unlock more races. Pikachu is also in 3D on the Nintendo DS and you'll be able to see Munchlax for the first time!

Pikachu Bummers in Pokemon Dash for the Nintendo DS

Bad news time and, unfortunately, there's lots of it. The biggest problem is that our fears came true - having to constantly rub the touch-screen is a pain. On top of that, the graphics are weak, the computer opponents are either way too easy or way too hard and you can't race as any Pokemon other than Pikachu!

The Finish Line for Pokemon Dash

It's a stinker. If you're a Pokemon addict who needs every single Pokemon game then it might be worth it but most players should skip this one.
