Best MP3 Players - Kidzworld's Picks

Jan 25, 2016

You've got a ton of tunes stored on your computer, from Kelly Clarkson to Sum 41, but what happens when you wanna take your music with you? Check out some of Kidzworld's fave MP3 players and find out which one is best for your listening needs!

Creative Zen MicroPhoto (8GB)

This sleek MP3 player can certainly hold its own in a sea of competition. It holds up to 4,000 songs or 8,000 color photos, has a 15-hour rechargeable battery, a built in FM radio and you can use it as a voice recorder! The Creative Zen MicroPhoto has a crisp, bright screen to view your photos on, the sound quality is super clear and it fits perfectly into any pocket! There are also ten different colors to choose from like black, pink and even light blue. Retail - $250.00 US.

Samsung Yepp YP-Z5AB (4GB)

The Samsung Yepp has many of the same features as the Creative Zen MicroPhoto, but it does not include an FM radio or a voice recorder. You can store approximately 2,000 songs on this player and the bright screen makes viewing pictures on the fly very easy. The controls on the Yepp aren't as user-friendly as they could be but if you're looking for an alternative to the obvious MP3 players, this is a good option. Retail - $250.00 US.

Apple iPod Nano (4GB)

If you're looking for something sleek and sexy, the iPod Nano is what you want. It's the thinnest, lightest MP3 player that has all the same capabilities as its competitors - other than an FM radio and voice recorder. You can store up to 1,000 songs or close to 25,000 digital photos. The Nano, of course, features the signature iPod click wheel and can be bought in either black or white. Retail - $250.00 US.

Phillips GoGear Micro Jukebox (6GB)

Here's a real value for your buck. This MP3 player can store approximately 3,000 songs or about 1,600 photos. It has an FM radio so if you get tired of listening to your pre-stored tunes you can just flick on your fave radio station. You can also use it as a voice recorder. One down side is that the screen is much smaller than some of its competitors, making it harder to view pics. Retail - $220.00 US.

Sandisk Sansa e200 (6GB)

This player is new to the MP3 block and may just give the others a run for their money. The rechargeable battery lasts for up to 20 hours, it has an FM radio, a voice recorder and a brightly-colored screen to view pictures. Like the Creative Zen MicroPhoto, you can download music from anywhere and the Sansa player will be able to support the files - unlike the iPod Nano, which only supports music from iTunes. Retail - $300.00 US.
