Batman Beyond - Main Characters

  • Bruce Wayne - The former Batman and current mentor to the latest Batman, Terry McGinnis
  • Terry McGinnis/Batman - Took over from Bruce Wayne to become the Batman of the future.
  • Max Gibson - An old friend of Terry's who now aids him in his super-quests.
  • Commissioner Barbra Gordon - Now that she's too old to be Batgirl, Commissioner Gordon now runs the Gotham Police.

Batman Beyond - Main Villains

  • Mr. Freeze - Cryogenically frozen for years, Mr. Freeze is trapped as an icy, immortal head until he is given a new bionic body. Now he seeks revenge upon the world that he feels has betrayed him.
  • Derek Powers/Blight - By day Derek Powers is the head of Wayne-Powers, by night he's Blight - a villain glowing with radioactive energy.
  • Inque - Created in a mysterious genetic experiment, Inque is now a corporate spy and saboteur with a liquid, metamorphosing body.
  • The Jokerz - While the Joker himself no longer poses a threat to Gotham, his image lives on in the form of a motorcycle gang who terrorize the city for kicks.

Batman Beyond - Fun Facts

  • Aquagirl is voiced by Jodi Benson, who played another aquatic creature - Ariel - in Disney's The Little Mermaid.
  • Outside of the US Batman Beyond is known as "Batman of the Future."
  • Warner Brothers planned to make a live-action film of Batman Beyond but scrapped the idea to make Batman Begins.

Batman Beyond - Season One, Two and Three DVDs

The first three seasons of Batman Beyond are now available on DVD. Each DVD includes the complete season's worth of episodes (though the first season only has 13), and tons of special features like commentary, special documentaries and music scores.
