Paris Bennett Interview (pg. 2)

May 29, 2007

Sindy: So what do you do when you're not working?
Paris Bennett: I'm on MySpace 24/7 chatting with my fans, and things like that. I also really like spending time with my little brothers if I'm not out of town - and of course hanging out with my dog Prince.

Sindy: There are rumors that you're developing a clothing line. Is that true?
Paris Bennett: Yeah, I'm in the middle of trying to get that started. It's going to be a collection of just a lot of creativity. A lot of things that you would never imagine to put together - kind of like if you've ever seen a kid dress up... kind of like that. Just putting whatever combination together and making that be something that explains who you are.

Sindy: How would you describe your own personal style?
Paris Bennett: Fairytale. Very, very fairytale.

Sindy: Are you still in touch with any of your American Idol cast mates?
Paris Bennett: Yeah, everyone.

Sindy: Were you watching AI this year?
Paris Bennett: Just a little bit. Not too much. When I get a chance to, I do, but I've been so busy that I haven't had the time to sit and watch all of it.

Sindy: What's it like to watch it now that you've been on the show?
Paris Bennett: Well for us it's completely different to watch it because you know the things that are happening behind the scenes. So you kind of just look at it with a different perspective.

Sindy: Who were you hoping would win?
Paris Bennett: I didn't really have once specific person, but I really liked Jordan, Melinda and Blake.

Sindy: What did you think of Sanjaya?
Paris Bennett: He's cool. He sort of reminds me of myself - how he always changed his hair, his clothes... He definitely kept people watching, so he's alright with me.

Sindy: American Idol has faced some criticism from former contestants. If you had it to do all over again, would you do it?
Paris Bennett: Um, no. Just because - having been on it - I wasn't really a fan of having to get voted on based on my gift and my abilities to sing. I think that everyone is unique.

Sindy: Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans before you go?
Paris Bennett: Just that you've officially been Princessed!

Sindy: Ha! Thanks Paris.
Paris Bennett: No problem. Thank you.
